Live demo: “Full Screen” tab
Christophe Humbert I am considering adding two new options to the Easy Tabs: Full Screen and Print. This is the result of ongoing discussions with Kerri Abraham. The “Full Screen” option is similar to the usual overlay/lightbox solutions. Only my solution is lighter, and doesn’t require an external library like jQuery for example. Are the Easy Tabs security trimmed?
Christophe Humbert A question I received from Liz: “I just downloaded your EasyTabs webpart and think it works great. My question is: how does it work when you have different permissions on different webparts? Is it security trimmed?” Good question, and you definitely need to be clear about security implications when you start adding code to your Web [...] [read]. Posted: Wed, Jun 2nd '10 |
SharePoint 2010 issues with calendars
Christophe Humbert I am having the following issue in SharePoint 2010: when I set the chrome state of a calendar to “minimized” (under Edit Web Part > Appearance), the calendar still gets displayed on the page. Christophe Humbert In the past few weeks, I have upgraded several of my scripts, and made them available here:
http://www.pathtosharepoint.com/sharepoint-user-toolkit/

Cross-Site List Snapshot, version 2.0 beta

http://www.pathtosharepoint.com/sharepoint-user-toolkit/Pages/Cross-Site-List-Snapshot.aspx

Quick update: Image Rotator in SharePoint 2010
Christophe Humbert Today I decided to test in SharePoint 2010 the Image Rotator I released yesterday. I just followed the instructions and filled out the form:
http://www.pathtosharepoint.com/sharepoint-user-toolkit/Pages/Image-Rotator-Lite.aspx

Lite means that it is written in plain JavaScript and doesn’t require any external library like jQuery. The ”heavy” version, written with jQuery, allows some additional transition effects.

My scripts and SharePoint 2010 – Where I am at
Christophe Humbert Like many other SharePoint consultants, I don’t expect to see a lot of SharePoint 2010 migrations this year. The majority of companies that have invested in an Office 2007 deployment will choose to wait and see. Technical constraints (server requirements, integration with client side applications) will reinforce this behavior.
That said, sticking with SharePoint 2007 for now doesn’t mean that [...] [read]. Posted: Tue, Feb 23rd '10 |
