Since quite a bit of us in the community have used it to host our blogs, we had to start looking for alternative places, some of us, like myself, waited for a while, thinking that dotnet.org.za might [read]. Posted: Sun, Apr 11th '10 |

Item Level Permission in SharePoint 2007
Zlatan Dzinic Question around Item Level permission in SharePoint 2007 came out so many times by now, well I lost the count. It is one of the most fundamental requirements of creating client centric SharePoint solutions, and it builds on concepts of Personalization and Audience Targeting, exactly where these two fail, and that is to provide appropriate security trimmings to the personalised content.

Workflow Foundation .NET 4.0 not quite the cousin of Workflow Foundation 3.0/3.5
Zlatan Dzinic Check this out, it appears that WF 4.0 is a completely new framework, not related in any way to WF 3.0/3.5.
Good news is that you can still use old 3.0/3.5 activities as long as you wrap them in a interop activity.
Now this is not really bad news, reality of the situation is that, albeit I (think I) am maybe one of the biggest fans of WF (and many months ago this was my first .NET 3.5 certification) and there is quite a bit of us out there, I found that most junior and intermediate developers fi [read]. LINQ to SQL..... she is dead, deceased .. just something in the past
Zlatan Dzinic Following bunch of announcements about .NET 4.0, ADO.NET team makes a not so surprising announcement that LINQ to SQL is dead in favour of the .NET Entity Framework (http://blogs.msdn.com/adonet/archive/2008/10/29/update-on-linq-to-sql-and-linq-to-entities-roadmap.aspx).
